Is there any contact in TNT Kick Fit?

NO. There is no contact or partner training in TNT Kick Fit. The class is for everyone who wants to experience the benefits of training like a martial artist without contact.

Is TNT Kick Fit a martial art?

No. TNT Kick Fit is based on the highly effective training methods used by Martial Arts athletes. While we do incorporate kicking, punching and striking techniques into each class, making the class "martial arts based", there is no memorization of forms, no belt testings, no contact with other students, and no uniform required.

I have never worked out before. Is TNT Kick Fit for me?

Yes, unlike an aerobic class or other fitness classes, where an instructor is leading a group of people through various exercises at a certain pace, TNT Kick Fit is broken up into 5 minute rounds that are made up of timed segments within those rounds. An individual can push themselves at their own pace for each exercise. Even if you have never worked out before, you can start slowly and still experience all the benefits of a total body workout.

I am easily bored by workout routines. Is TNT Kick Fit the same workout every day?

No. While the format of the class remains the same (50 second rounds for each exercise) the exercises themselves will vary from class to class so that participants never become bored. As an added benefit of changing up the exercises, muscles get worked a little differently each week.

I am already a Karate or Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at TNT. Can I still benefit from TNT Kick fit?

Absolutely! As a martial artist, you will be practicing kicking, punching and striking techniques which improves your muscle memory for those skills. In addition, the cardiovascular benefits and increased strength and flexibility you will gain from TNT Kick Fit will certainly improve your martial arts training or any other sports you may be involved in.

How long are the classes?

TNT Kick Fit is designed to get maximum results in a short amount of time. The class is approx. 45 minutes which allows busy participants to complete a great workout with a minimum time commitment.

Who teaches the TNT Kick Fit classes?

Patty Troia teaches the evening TNT Kick Fit classes at TNT. Miss Lisa, a long time student and Black Belt at TNT, teaches the morning classes.

What equipment is required to participate in TNT Kick Fit?

Fingerless MMA style bag gloves are required and can be purchased at TNT Martial Arts. Please ask about current specials we may be running that might include free gloves. The weighted fitness dummies, heavy bags and resistance bands that we use throughout class are provided by TNT.

What should I wear to class?

Participants should wear comfortable loose fitting workout clothing. Elastic waisted pants are best as buttons and zippers can rip the training mats or fitness dummies. Participants must be bare foot.

Is there anything I should bring to class?

Many students like to bring a small hand towel and water to class. Bottled water is also available from the vending machine at TNT. Participants do not need to bring a yoga mat or towel since our training floors are completely covered in mats.

Do I have to sign a contract or join for a long period of time?

NO. TNT Kick Fit participants pay for classes by the month (or by the session when joining through Parks & Rec). There are no long term contacts for any of our programs at TNT.

What other costs are involved?

None. The only cost is for the classes themselves and for MMA gloves as explained above. We occasionally offer an Introductory Special for new students that includes the gloves at no cost. Please ask if we have any current specials.

Can I sign up for a 1 day per week program?

Yes. We offer 1 day per week programs for through the local Parks & Rec departments. The availability of the 1 day per week option varies throughout the year. If you are interested in attending 1 day per week only, please call TNT to request more information.

Who can join?

TNT Kick Fit is for men and women of all levels of physical fitness. The class is recommended for adults. However, we do allow teens, ages 14 & up, to participate.

What is the best way to get started?

The best way to get started is to give us a call, send us an e-mail, or set up a convenient time for you to come in and tour our facility, meet with the Instructor, and watch a class if you like, and ask any questions you may have.
There are absolutely no obligations to join and you will never feel pressured to sign up for classes.
