“You have Parkinson’s Disease.” That was the Doctors comment to me after my physical examination on October 27th, 2023. It wasn’t a surprise, but it was a surprise. I had been experiencing resting tremors (along with other symptoms) for the past 4-5 months. This visit only confirmed what I had suspected. There is no cure, there is only managing the symptoms. The Doctor prescribed me a medication and I was on my way.
I was determined to get better, so I did some research and found that Martial Arts is an excellent way to manage and relieve the symptoms. I contacted TNT Martial Arts in Romeo to set up a program. My daughter had taken Karate there and saw excellent results. I contacted Patty Troia, the co-owner, to set up some private one on one visits with her. Prior to my first visit I tested my balance and stability, at Oakland University, using what they called the B-Tracks machine. My balance and stability was very bad at that time.
November 1st, 2023 I had my first visit with Patty. She put me through some balance exercises and Karate training. I met with her for one month and then did a re-test on the B-Tracks. My balance and stability improved by over 80%. I could also tell the difference in my everyday activities.
I continue to show improvements and I am working on my Orange Belt with a stripe at this point. My overall quality of life has improved exponentially. The tremors, although annoying, will always be there. My goal is to continue to improve in other areas. Thank you, Patty and Andy.

My partner was diagnosed with Parkinson’s almost 5 years ago. His disease has progressed significantly in the past year, and he begun to have delusions. He also had side effects from carbidopa/levodopa, which we decided to stop, and our primary physician decided he should start on PD-5 formula 4 months ago from UINE HEALTH CENTER. He now sleeps soundly, works out frequently, and is now very active since we started him on the PD-5 formula. It doesn’t make the Parkinson’s disease go away, but it did give him a better quality of life. We got the treatment from www. uineheathcentre.com
